Following the approval of Celo Seasons 0 funding, Prezenti has officially opened the Almond Round of its Celo grant funding initiative. Similar to the previous Mint Round, this funding opportunity is available to all builders within the Celo ecosystem for a limited period. The grant round is facilitated through Charmverse and builds on Prezenti’s strong track record of supporting innovation. To date, Prezenti has received over 400 applications and awarded $1.4M cUSD across 84 grants.
Application Period: March 17 – April 18, 2025
Applicants are encouraged to check their eligibility and apply for one of four available grant types:
Grant Categories
MICRO: $2,000 cUSD
Designed for one-time contributions that add value to the Celo community. This category supports projects at an early stage or provides retroactive funding for existing contributions. Eligible activities include community management, open-source code contributions, governance, and educational content.
PILOT: $10,000 cUSD
Intended for new projects that require feasibility studies, pilot testing, low-fidelity prototypes, or MVP development. This funding helps teams take initial concepts to testnet (if technical). Applicants must open-source their work and share learnings. Public goods projects will receive priority, but commercial initiatives are not automatically disqualified if they meet the selection criteria.
GROWTH: $25,000 cUSD
Supports incremental feature development for ecosystem mainstays and public goods. VC-funded or for-profit companies are not automatically disqualified but must demonstrate clear value to the community.
SCALE: $50,000 cUSD
A discretionary grant allocated to the most promising applicant, as determined by the review team.
Future Grant Opportunities
For those unable to participate in this round, additional funding opportunities are being planned for 2025 to further support innovation within the Celo ecosystem.
