[TPP-T1] ZKsync Guardian Veto Rehearsal 1-2025

daily-banner-01-1 [TPP-T1] ZKsync Guardian Veto Rehearsal 1-2025
Summary
This proposal outlines a coordinated, onchain veto rehearsal for Guardians on the ZKsync Era Token Governor. The exercise mimics a real-world situation where a Guardian veto would be necessary, testing the functionality, multisig coordination, and user interfaces to ensure everything works as intended.
Abstract
Guardian powers have been active since ZKsync governance launched in September 2024. However, no proposal has yet triggered an actual veto. To prepare for such scenarios, the Governance Team is conducting regular rehearsals. This particular rehearsal will simulate a Guardian veto on a Token Program Proposal (TPP).
Impact
The process will include: submitting a proposal, initiating a veto, collecting multisig signatures, executing the veto, and verifying results via the Tally interface.
The goal is to confirm the robustness, transparency, and reliability of ZKsync’s governance infrastructure in critical moments.
Key aspects being tested include:
  • Guardian veto functionality within the Token Governor contract
  • Multisig signature collection and quorum
  • Execution flow via verify.zknation.io/ interface
  • UI state updates on Tally and governance dashboards
This simulation also promotes coordination across different governance roles proposers, Guardians, and interface platforms.
Note: No ZK tokens will be minted, burned, or reallocated. This is strictly a test run.
